Disney with two toddlers!

Traveling with kids/babies will be difficult no matter how prepared you are. I try to be as prepared as I can so that I don’t make an already stressful trip even more difficult. I combined a few of my favorites items that I believe helped us when traveling with a one and two year old.

Air Travel with Two Toddlers

I believe that the best time to travel is during their nap time or early morning/evening. That way there is less traffic and the kids are sleepy. Southwest was great, we boarded with group A and sat in the back just in case we had accidents.

I packed their snack containers full of snacks to use during takeoff and landing and they played with the spinners while everyone boarded. During the flight my youngest fell asleep and my two year old watched a pre-downloaded movie until he fell asleep. I didn’t have to change any diapers on the plane, so it was a pretty successful flight!

Rentals for Two Toddlers

We rented car seats with the vehicle. When my kids were infants, I traveled with his personal car seat but now that they are a little older I am comfortable with rented car seats. We did not rent a stroller because I love the stroller that we own. We have the city tour stroller double. It’s bomb. There are no attachments, you can fold it up and down with one hand, its super light, and its perfect for travel and the parks!

Disney Parks with Two Toddlers

We visited Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom with the kids. Magic Kingdom was wild but it is something you have to endure. We used the tablet to entertain them while we waited in lines and would periodically let them out of the stroller (one at a time). It’s a small world and the magic carpet are great rides for the littles! I would also suggest a visit later in the day, after nap time, so the kids can experience the fireworks.

We really enjoyed Animal Kingdom. It’s less crowded and the safari ride is spectacular. Dino world was also a hit. Disney also offers a few things to make park visits easier. For a fee of course. Preferred parking is one example for $50.

Disney Character Breakfast

The Disney Character Breakfast is a great alternative to parks. It’s a massive buffet with surprise appearances from Mickey, Donald, Mini, Donald, Pluto, and Goofy. My two year old had the time of his life. The characters brought so much energy and stopped to take a photo with each kid; however, my one year old was terrified. We kept her happy with the buffet.
