Recently, I had the opportunity to host a black and white themed girls’ night for one of my best friend’s birthday, and it was everything I imagined. I wanted the evening to feel elegant, timeless, and effortlessly chic, so I kept the décor simple with a classic black and white color palette.
Why I Love Hosting: A Black & White Girls’ Night to Remember
There’s something incredibly rewarding about opening your home and creating a space where people feel seen, celebrated, and cared for. Hosting has become one of my favorite ways to show love. For me, it’s about creating an experience that brings people together and gives them a reason to slow down and enjoy each other’s company.

Every place setting was thoughtfully layered with black chargers, crisp white dinner plates, patterned salad plates with silver accents. The bow tied black linen napkins added a cute finishing touch. A black gauze table runner stretched down the center of the table, creating the perfect backdrop for floating candles and soft tea lights that filled the room with a warm, cozy glow.
I also used a clusters of black and silver balloons above the table to make the space feel even more festive while still keeping the monochromatic theme elegant. The combination of candlelight, modern glassware, and clean, minimal details transformed an ordinary dining room into a space that felt both intimate and celebratory.

Of course, no girls’ night is complete without delicious food. I served appetizers family-style, making it easy for everyone to gather around the table, snack, and chat throughout the evening. The fire pit I used has since been recalled. It added a nice touch but we don’t do dangerous,
