it’s a girl! Baby Layla is here and I had a blast putting together her pretty in pink nursery.
Accent Wall
Layla’s room is basic white. We still have the builder grade paint on our walls. Most of our home projects are DYI and this accent wall was no different. I researched a ton of stick on wallpaper companies and landed on wall blush. The installation was simple enough. The website calculates how many panels you will need for your wallpaper project. Although we measured before purchasing the wallpaper, I ended up needed more wallpaper which was very frustrating so keep that in mind.
I chose a soft pretty in pink wallpaper design. Coral cascades was the perfect look! After installing the wallpaper, I finished the accent wall with a name sign from Etsy!
Pretty in Pink Accessories
Layla’s changing table/ dresser was actually baby Geoff’s. See how we designed his nursery here. The dresser is white with black knobs so it worked out perfectly!
To complement the accent wall, I filled the room with pink accessories. The rug, fitted crib sheet, blankets, baskets, and wall art came together so nicely!
Nursery Organization
I love a good cube organizer! Using a cube organizer is very popular these days so be sure you are checking the dimensions of the cube organizer before purchasing. I’ve purchased an organizer that was a lot smaller than I thought so be careful of that!
I used the cube organization for Layla’s toys and clothing. It’s a super easy way to maximize closet space.
The glider in Layla’s nursery is also the glider from baby Geoff’s nursery. I am very happy that I went with neutral colors because I have been able to reuse them! Behind the glider is a perfect spot for faux greenery.
Just a little greenery adds a homey feel to a space!
I really love how baby girls pretty in pink nursery came out and I cannot wait for her to enjoy it.
